Apple has announced that it will start shipping Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard August 28. Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard owners can buy the upgrade version of Snow Leopard for a 29 US$. You can place your pre-order in the Apple Store. I don’t know if the price will be the same for all users and if I can place preorder in my contry. I’ll try with preorder in the next days. Snow Leopard is also the first release of Mac OS X which no longer works on PowerPC-based Macintosh machines, and has the option of running in full 64bit. Snow Leopard is half the size of the previous version and frees up to 7GB of drive space once installed. It’s sounds interesting.
