If you are installing NOWS (Novell Open Workgroup Suite) and choose your own partitioning method and restart the server after initial installation, it will not start due to an error in a GRUB configuration. Error is in file /boot/grub/menu.lst, you must fix root= line to point to the real root partition and not to the second partition on your system. In my case the second partition is the swap partition.
