Tri najve\u010dje novosti so; prehod na jedro razli\u010dice 3.x, tako da je SLE prva ti. enterprise distribucija, ki ima najnovej\u0161e jedro; podpora za BTRFS datote\u010dni sistem in podpora za LXC &#8211; container virtualization. Privzeti datote\u010dni sistem je \u0161e vedno EXT3, s pomo\u010djo modula za jedro pa lahko uporabimo EXT4 v bralnem na\u010dinu.
